Icebreaker turns a room full of strangers into a room that knows each other's names - and nobody has to suffer through a single awkward introduction to get there. Hand every person a card, start the clock, and the room comes alive: people mingling, comparing cards, hunting for the symbols they share, and scribbling down the names of everyone they match with. It looks like a fast, friendly game. What's really happening is that an entire room is learning every name - without ever feeling like they're trying.

Every card is built on clever matching maths (think Dobble / Spot It!): any two cards share exactly one symbol, so a match is always out there to be found - no luck, no dead ends. In Phase 1, players race to find their matches and write each other's names down. Then comes the reveal: those names weren't just scorekeeping - they were secretly a map of every connection in the room. In Phase 2, the group uses those real connections to build chains, round by round, linking shorter chains into longer ones until the whole room joins into a single unbroken human line. The connections were there all along - the players just didn't know they were building them.

The whole arc runs in about 25 minutes and flows in one continuous motion: a light, buzzy sprint that blossoms into a collaborative finale where everyone wins together - no losers, no one left on the sidelines. Three deck sizes scale it cleanly from 9 to 57 players, so it fits an intimate team meeting or a packed conference hall, and players keep their cards as a souvenir of who they met.
