Segovia is a tile-placement strategy game for 2–4 players inspired by the historic city of Segovia and its iconic structures — the magnificent Roman aqueduct and the soaring cathedral. Players compete to architect sections of these monuments whilst managing a hand of resource cards with dual purposes.

The core mechanics blend hand management with spatial planning. Cards can be played for their resource value to build sections of the aqueduct or cathedral, or sacrificed for currency to outbid opponents or unlock special actions. Every turn presents meaningful choices: do you build now, or hold for better odds? The board grows organically as players place tiles, creating a shared puzzle that becomes increasingly constrained as the game progresses. The geometric fit of each piece matters — wrong placement early locks down options for everyone later, encouraging forward thinking.

What makes Segovia distinctive is the tension between individual achievement and the shared landscape. While each player competes for control and scoring opportunities, the growing monument forces players to plan around each other's ambitions. The aqueduct and cathedral serve not just as thematic anchors but as elegant mechanical constraints that tighten the puzzle as play unfolds.

Segovia targets the gateway-plus audience — players who appreciate clean mechanics with genuine spatial depth. It delivers the visual weight of a production game with the elegant ruleset of a Knizia-style design, offering replayability through variable player powers and modular monument configurations.
